OLSON - Roy W. Olson, 75, 325 School St.., Rockton, died Feb. 9, 1987, in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born Jan. 3, 1912, in Chicago, , son of Andrew and Selma Selund Olson. Married the former Rachel Bacon in Rockton, June 28, 1944. He was co-owner and operator of Rockton Electric Co. and Repair Service on Main Street in Rockton for 27 years. Member Old Stone Church, Rockton; Rockton Volunteer Fire Department, member and past president Rockton Chamber of Commerce, member and former president of Stephen Mack School Board. Survivors include his wife, Rachel; a son, Randy; a daughter, Rhonda Peterson, all Rockton; a brother, Harry, St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Hazel Patterson, Della McGonigal, and Lillian Kincaid, all Rockton; several nieces and nephews.
Services at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in Old Stone Church, Rockton, with the Rev. Dr. James Wespfahl, pastor, officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery.. Arrangements by ROSMAN-UEHLING-KINZER Blackhawk Chapel, South Beloit. Friends may call at the chapel frm 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials to the American Lung Association. 2-10-3
