OLLA, April 13 (Special) — Luther Thompson Whitten, 72, of Olla died there today.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Parker [sic Barker], Urania; Mrs. T. R. Rooney, Mrs. H. W. Albritton and Mrs. C. M. Newsom, Jr.; two sons, T. D. Whitten of Kelly; and L. M. Whitten, Gretna; two sisters and a brother; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held sometime Wednesday in Pine Hill Baptist Church in Olla with interment in Adams cemetery.
