ZANESVILLE: Bettie V. Nutt Swank, 84, of Zanesville, died at 6:58 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at her daughter's residence with whom she made her home.
She was born May 25, 1925 in South Zanesville the daughter of the late Harold and Adelia Wheeler Nutt. Bettie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Purple Heart, ZWBA and two card clubs. She was a retired bookkeeper for Kane Pontiac and prior to Kane's she was bookkeeper for Dutro Ford. Bettie was a spunky and fun loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. All who knew her couldn't help but to love her. Bettie your beautiful smile will be so missed.
Bettie is survived by her son, Richard (Elaine) Swank of Columbus; daughter, Linda (Ron) Wolfe of Zanesville; grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryan) Robinson, Ryan (Heather) Wolfe, Dustin (Maren Frick) Wolfe, all of Zanesville, and Chad Markham of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kasen Robinson, Briannah and Brycen Wolfe, and Tanner Hood; sisters, Catherine (Hayden) Davis and Dorothy (Thurman) Howard all of Zanesville; brother-in-law, James Perone of Avondale; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Harold Israel of New York; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Marie Wolfe, June Hill and Connie Schaumleffel; and special friends in both card clubs.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, LeRoy Swank who died June 16, 1999; sister, Esther Perone; brothers, Gerald, Harold Jr. and Homer Nutt; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane.
Visitation for Bettie will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 Thursday April 8, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday April 9, 2010. Pastor Mark Combs will officiate followed by committal service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Bettie's memory to the National Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 1373 Grandview Ave. Suite 200. Columbus, OH 43212-2804.
