The fifth of eleven children born to John "Frank" Franklin Sr & Elsie Jane (Kennedy) Mosier of Brown Co IN, she married Ira "Jud" Clevenger Jr on 20 Feb 1931 in Indianapolis, Marion Co IN, the son of Ira & Leora Bell (Frondorf) Clevenger of Laurel, Franklin Co IN. They had eight children, four sons and four daughters.

Aunt Irene was so pretty. At a young age, her hair turned white. It was so beautiful that I wanted my hair to be exactly like it! I can still see her hanging out laundry in the back yard on Emerson Ave in Indianapolis, yelling at her rowdy boys to stop running through the house. So many good times are remembered at my Uncle Jud and Aunt Irene's home; there was always laughter and fun. It makes me smile to think back on those days and that is what memories are all about; it keeps the ones we love close to us, even when they are gone.

Irene is my paternal Aunt and also my maternal Grand Aunt through her sister-in-law, my Grandma Flora Dorset (Clevenger) Warfield (1902-1983). Rest in Peace dearest Aunt Irene. We miss you.
