Raymond Keith Clevenger was the eldest of eight children in the family of Ira ("Jud") and Irene Opal (Mosier) Clevenger. My father served in the U.S. Navy (ca. 1949-1952) including a stint on the U.S.S. Norton Sound AVM-1. He was a long-term and proud member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades (as it was known then), Local No. 47. He received many letters of commendation for his intricate hand-painting techniques and was such a good paper-hanger that even a younger sister once asked, "How did you get this wallpaper up all in one piece?"

He was survived by four children from his first marriage, and his second wife (names withheld as all are living).
