Mrs. Ada Virginia Davis, 74, of Route 1, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
She was born in Augusta County, Nov. 16, 1899, a daughter of the late Cornelius and Bernice Thacker Arnold.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Springdale Mennonite Church.
Survivors include her husband, George E. Davis; two daughters, Miss Gladys Davis and Mrs. Mabel McCauley, both of Waynesboro; two sons, Richard Davis and Warren Davis, both of Waynesboro; two brothers, Fay Arnold of Waynesboro and Charles Arnold of Shenandoah; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Elmer Davis and Marvin Davis.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Springdale Mennonite Church, conducted by the Rev. Paul Wenger, the Rev. Glen Egli and the Rev. Robert Hughes. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Charles Randolph, Page Wine, Noah Beyeler, William Smith, Winfred Showalter and Merlin Burkholder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justus Driver, Willis Davis, Fred Driver, William Sparks, George Sparks, William Wine Jr. and Dr. William Orr.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McDow-Tyree Funeral Home.
