JoAnne Prunty, 79, of Pekin, Ill., formerly of East Peoria, Ill., died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2010, at the home of her son.
Born on Sept. 5, 1930, in Peoria, Ill., to Herbert and MaryBelle Foltz Kinsall, she married William Prunty on Oct. 23, 1957, in Macomb, Ill. He died on March 23, 1993, in Peoria, Ill.
Surviving are three children, Rita (Donald) Murray and William C. "Chuck" Prunty, both of Pekin, Ill., and Debra (Chris) Shelton of Peoria, Ill.; one sister, Wanita Jean Bradley of Swansea, Ill.; three grandchildren, Amy (Bobby) Schaeffer of Washington, Ill., Monica (Michael) Walker of East Peoria, Ill., and Jenna Shelton of Peoria, Ill.; and five great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Joshua, Brianna and Kayla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Jamie.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
