Thomason and the young couple accompanied the Stewart Family in their move to Missouri, They purchased the adjoining farm to the family homestead. Their first child, Gladys Caroline Thomason, was born on this farm near Tina, Missouri, on July 23, 1904. They returned to Iowa in 1906. Their second child, a son, Donald Stewart Thomason, was born on January 28, 1910. The Thomason's were active in community affairs, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Villisca.
