Linnie Alice Baker, daughter of Jacob and Alice (Griffith) Baker, was born August 5, 1910 on a farm north of Carleton and passed away January 4, 1962, at the home of her sister in Carleton.

She spent her early life on the farm and graduated from Carleton High School in the Class of '28. She was baptized in the Church of the Brethren of Carleton when 14 years of age and remained a member until her passing.

She was united in marriage to Aaron Zehr of Shickley, April 14, 1932 and made her residence in Shickley until the time of her death.

To this union was born Mrs. Larry Paul of Shickley.

In October, Linnie became aware of the affliction that became a factor in her poor health and later caused her death.

She was a kind and loving wife caring for her husband who was confined to his home for several years with diabetes.

She leaves, one daughter, Mary Ellen, now Mrs. Larry Paul, her aged mother, one brother, Frank and one sister Shirley Frank all of Carleton. And many other relatives and friends.

Her husband and father preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church of Shickley Saturday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. Rev. Flickinger and Rev. Flora in charge.

Mrs. Hugo Afs presided at the organ and vocal music by a duet composed of Mrs. Verlie Zetterman and Rowen Zetterman.

Serving as casketbearers were Laurence Lichti, Richard Lichti, Ed Steider, Loring Thoman, Delbert With and Lyle Wagers.

Burial in the Bethel Cemetery south of town.
