Clifton Warner Lord was born on November 13, 1901 in Bellows Falls, VT, the son of William Charles and Vera Eathel (Warner) Lord. He passed away at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH on March 16, 1983 after a long illness.

He was the first of eight children.

He married Esther Florence Dutilley about 1920 who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by sons Richard and Robert.

He married Beatrice Mae Hart about 1971.

He had resided in Claremont for sixty nine years. He retired in 1971 from Dartmouth Woolen Mill where he worked as a picker operator. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1201.

He is survived by his wife; sons Donald, Roland and Walter all of Claremont, stepson John Nichols of Kellyville, VT; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother Glenn Lord of Claremont; three sisters Iva Lamere and Doris Schafer both of Claremont and Madgeline Sweet of Newport.

Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery.
