Georgia Julia Ann Tondee was born to Charles Robert Tondee and his second wife Valeria "Ella" Womack. Georgia Julia married William Capers Pattillo about 1852 proabobly in Houston County, Georgia. They had four children : Charles Fletcher Pattillo II, Leila Danforth Pattillo Cannon, Mattie Pattillo, and William Capers Pattillo Jr. Mattie died in early childhood in Louisanna. Charles and Leila spent their adult life in Texas and William Jr moved to Atlanta, GA where he raised a large family as a fireman. William Capers Pattillo Sr apparently died shortly after the Civil War in Louisana. Georgia Julia brought her surviving younger children back to Georgia. William Jr. was raised by his grandparents in Houston County and Leila lived with Georgia Julia in Americus until she met Jesse Cannon who worked for the railroad. Georgia Julia then met and married George Clinton McAlister, a widower with no children. George and Georgia Julia were married on March 5, 1870 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia. In 1871, they had a daughter Pearl Etawah McAlister Sims. They also had an infant son in 1873 which did not survive. Georgia Julia died in 1879 and was buried in Ellaville in her parents plot. George McAlister died in 1892 and his buried plot is unknown at this time. (November 1, 2012).
