Fairview – Nelda M. Abbadusky, 89, of 350 Park St., died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday March 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on August 23, 1920 in London Mills, Ill. to Clarence and Mable (Eggers) Sherman.
She married Ivan Dale Abbadusky on March 7, 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1988.
Survivors include three children Keith (Clarsice) Abbadusky of Fairview, Donald Abbadusky of Vergennes, and Marie Reeder of Fairview, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 4 nephews, 4 great nieces, 3 great nephews and her sister Elizabeth Harker of Fairview.
1 great great granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Nelda was a homemaker and worked on the family farm in the Fairview area throughout her life. She was a member of the Fairview Reformed Church, Fairview American Legion Auxiliary, Roy Miller Post #644, Fairview Women's Club and the Jersey Row Community Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Don Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview.
Memorials may be made to the Fairview Rescue Squad.
