Calvin S. Gruber, 90, of 33 Moravian St., died Wednesday afternoon at the Evangelical Congregational Church Home infirmary, Myerstown, following a lingering illness. Until he became ill, he was an active member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ. He was a son of the late Monroe and Kathryn Sweigert Gruber and the husband of Mrs. Annie M. Light Gruber, who died Jan. 16, 1958. Surviving are one daughter, Martha L., wife of Lloyd J. Becker, Lebanon; five sons, Miles L., Bunker Hill; Earl M., with whom he resided; Warren S., Arlington, Va.; Lester H., Lebanon, and Luther J., Hanover. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Clara Kleinfelter, Lebanon, and a number of nieces and nephews. [Lebanon Daily News, March 21, 1963 Page 2]
