Elmer C. Gruber, 81, of 819 Guilford Street, died early Sunday morning in the Good Samaritan Hospital after an illness of tens days. A retired employee of Kreider's Hosiery Mill, Annville, he was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Annville. He was the son of the late Monroe and Catherine (Sweigert) Gruber. He is survived by one son, George E., of Lebanon; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother, Calvin, Lebanon, a sister, Mrs. Clara Kleinfelter, Lebanon, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Carrie Doutrich, Annville.
