Mrs. James (Emma) Popple, route 3, city, passed away Wednesday at her residence.
The deceased was born September 4, 1890, in Eagle Point, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine King. On March 29, 1906 she was married to James Popple in Eagle Point.
Surviving are her husband, 5 sons, James Jr.; Darlon; and John at home; Andy of Chippewa Falls and Sam of Eagle Point. Seven daughters, Mrs. Archie (Evelyn) Bergeron; Mrs. Franklin (Bertha) Pierce; Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Clark, all of Eagle Point. Mrs. Cortney (Edna) Mier of Jim Falls, Mrs. Roland (Bessie) Swan, Mrs. Perry (Rose) Gustafson of Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. John (Donna) Hepfler of Eau Claire; brother George, Herman, and Henry King of Chippewa Falls, and Val and Albert King of Eagle Point. Sisters Mrs. Bertha Popple and Mrs. Annie Holstein of Eagle Point and Mrs. Margaret Petski of Holcombe, and Mrs. Fred Ferg, Chippewa Falls. Twenty-eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Two brothers, one sister, and one grandson, and one daughter preceded her in death.
The body will lie in state at LaFrania-Burkart Funeral Home here this evening. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Jim Falls. Burial in Eagleton cemetery.
