Per Martha Hamm, Susana/Susannah was the daughter of Charlie Beatty Fisher and Amanda Kaziah Herring. Nieces remember "Aunt Sue" and that she was good cook. She and her husband, Thomas Lann Jerome, lived in Mecklenburg County and at some time in the Unionville area of Union County as well (see 1930 Union County, NC Census - Goosecreek Township). Per her death notice from the Monroe Enquirer on March 17, 1941, the Rev. Fred McAllister of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Mint Hill, NC officiated her funeral.
