Lyman Edwin Wallace, 60, who moved to this county with his family in 1930, died Thursday, August 2, in Wichita Falls following a long illness.

He had lived there 38 years.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Wallace, he was a native Texan, born February 23, 1913. He graduated from the Wellington (Texas) High School with the Class of 1913.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m.Saturday at Kelso Chapel with the Rev. Charles Floyd, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Tarver, Pat Kimbro, George Shadid, D.C. Thomason Oran Starkey and Herman Belew.

Survivors are three brothers; Meryl Wallace of Huntington, West Virginia; Evnyl Wallace of Phoenix, Arizona; and Billie E. Wallace of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Alice McCarver of Hereford; Mrs. Bessie Clark of Ft. Worth; and Mrs. Nancy White of Frisco, Colorado. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

His parents and a brother, Henry Wallace, preceded him.
