Billie Earl Wallace, age 67, died Wednesday, April 10, 1996 in Dallas.

Born in Rugby, Red River County, Texas on August 11, 1927 to George and Edna Earle Wallace, Mr. Wallace was a former resident of Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School as salutatorian of his class.

Before moving to Dallas he was an employee of the Wellington Leader working with Deskins Wells. He continued his profession as a linotypist and later became a computer instructor and typologist for Typographic Plus in Dallas. He retired from this firm in 1994.

He served in World War II in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign War.

He and Louise Little were married in Dallas in 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Louise of the home; a daughter, Shellah Early of Round Rock; one grandson, Jason Early and one granddaughter, both of Round Rock; a stepson, Gene Little of Dallas; three sisters, Bessie Belle Clark of Fort Worth; Nancy Nelle White of Frisco, Colorado and Mary Alyce McCarver of Hereford; one brother, Meryl Wallace of Huntington, WV and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lyman Wallace, Henry Wallace, both of Wellington and Evnyl Wallace of Phoenix, AZ.
