Sidney Smithy Baird, 65, died in Turlock, CA, Sunday, February 12. He was the father of Mrs. Sam McGill. A retired construction worker, Mr. Baird was born at Ardmore, Oklahoma, July 17, 1907. He lived here for a number of years before going to California about 1945.

urvivors are his wife, Mrs. Lena Baird of Turlock; two sons and two daughters, Gene Baird of Valhalla, New York, Don Baird of Odessa, Mrs. Mack Boyett of Amarillo and Mrs. McGill; two step sons, Dick Gilbert and Bill Gilbert of Santa Cruz, CA; three brothers and four sisters: Paul Baird of Duke, OK, Kenneth Baird of Rio Vista, CA, Victor Baird of Pittsburg, CA; Mrs. Claude Seymour of Vinson, OK, Mrs. Woodrow Gibbons of Gould, OK, Mrs. Wayne Wartham of Canadian. There are 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
