EMERY-Edwina T., 90, a long-time resident of Tulsa, died on July 1, 2004 in Providence, RI where she moved in 1995. Mrs. Emery was born in Comanche, OK, a daughter of the late Douglas C. and Elva G. (Pool) Thompson. She lived in Duncan, OK, where she graduated from Duncan High School then attended the Oklahoma College for Women. After her marriage to the late Walter Emery, a nationally known Oklahoma golf champion, they moved to Tulsa. She leaves a son, Sam Emery of Tulsa; 2 daughters, Mary Chace of Riverside, RI and Gayle Emery of Hendersonville, NC; a sister, Dougls Marie Pink of South Lyon, MI; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leon and Quita Clay Thompson. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 51st St. and Memorial Drive. In place of flowers donations may be made to a favorite charity.
