Born to his parents Samuel Walter and Edwina (Thompson) Emery Jr.

Retired, Sam most recently was owner of The Golden Cue. He had formerly worked as an insurance agent with AIG. He attended OU, and was a graduate of the University of Tulsa. He had been a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and had been involved with Toastmasters International. Sam was also a former member of the Tulsa Country Club.

His memorial service will be held at Ninde Woodland Chapel Saturday, March 29, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
