Elizabeth Battistello, 85, of Centerville died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at her home.

Elizabeth M. Battistello
Elizabeth M. Battistello, age 85, of Centerville, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
She was born the daughter of John and Maria (Pellin) Battistello on Feb. 20, 1921 in Centerville. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools and later attended Beauty School.
Elizabeth was a beauty operator and owned The Beauty Mart for over 43 years in Centerville. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John "Tony" Battistello.
Elizabeth is survived by a nephew, Jack Battistello and his wife, Mary and a niece, Marilyn Hamre, all of Pella, and nine grand-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville with Fr. Ron Will, C.PP.S., officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church and may be left at or mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home at 501 North 18th Street in Centerville, Iowa 52544. Condolences can be sent at: schmidtfamilyfuneralhome.com
