Otto Baetz, 87, 1225 Delaware street, resident of Perry since 1912, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednes-day at Perry Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran church with Rev. Walter J. Wehmeier, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery uncle direction of Parker Funeral home.

Casket bearers will be nephews, Otto Cowell, Willard Andrews, Morris Bowers, Bill Piel, Ronald Baetz and Paul Thiele.

Baetz, the son of Max and Marie Fritchie Baetz, was born March 23, 1892, in Chicago, Ill. He attended Fairview schools and moved to Perry from Fair¬view in 1912. Baetz and the former Myrtle Carrier were married at Perry, Sept. 22, 1915. He was co-owner and operator of the Red Star elevator from 1930-57. Baetz was a member of Christ Lutheran church.

In addition to Mrs. Baetz, of the home, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Manila) Frances and Mrs. Ed (Doris) Brown, both of Perry; and Mrs. Harvey (Opal) Elliott, Arlington, Texas; one son, Charles Baetz, Irving, Texas; a brother, Max Baetz, Perry; four sisters, Mrs. Roy Cowell, Mrs. Don Lumbers and Mrs. Otto Thiele, all of Perry; and Mrs. Bill Piel, Ponca City; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Baetz was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Charles Schaeffer and Mrs. Henry Grundeman.
