He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation, was retired from International Harvester and was a veteran of US Army, serving in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia S. Grolmes, Shelbyville; a son, Michael Grolmes, Simpsonville; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Louisville.
