Husband of Dorothy Rose
Robert G. Vander Meyden , 79, passed away peacefully at home in Bountiful, Utah October 13, 1994.
Never was there a more kind and gentle husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. We are at peace in knowing he is with loving family and friends who have passed on before him.
He was born February 8, 1915, in Lindon, Utah to Gerrit and Arletta Boyce Vander Meyden . Married Dorothy Rose September 2, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church. He worked many years at Cudahy Meat Packing Co. and retired from Davis County School District as head custodian at Bountiful Jr. High.
Survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, R. Merrill Vander Meyden and wife, Linda, Centerville; daughter, Rosalyn "Tibby" Brown, Centerville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Vander Meyden , Kearns; George Vander Meyden , Murray; three sisters, Thelma Hughes, Salt Lake City; Letty Fetner, Lancaster, Calif.; Margaret Dever, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Brown; two sisters, Beth Napier and Florence Vander Meyden .
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 17, 1994 at 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment, Centerville City Cemetery.
