Died at 11:50 a.m. Monday in Hammond. He was 39, a native of Route 2, Amite. Body at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, with visiting hours from3 until 11 p.m. Tuesday, and from 8 u ntil 11 a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial in Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery, with Masonic graveside services. Survived by his wife, the former Geraldine Calmes, Route 2, Amite; six sons, William Hardy Lanier, Lynn Paul Lanier, Kelly Patrick Lanier, Steven Wad Lanier, Ranson Dean Lanier, and Marc Lyle Lanier, all of Amite; two daughters, Marcheta Marie Lanier and Joan Rose Lanier, all of Amite; father Bert Lanier, Route 2, Amite, two brothers, Wade Lanier, Tucson, Ariz., and David Lanier, Route 2, Amite: a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Nancy) Stell, Route 2, Amite; he was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Rosie Lanier,, and a sister, Mrs. Joan Addison. He was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ and Spring Creek Lodge 184, F&AM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Valley Forge Academy School or Masonic Children's Home.
