Annie Beththire Etier Ray was the daughter of Amos Franklin Etier and Martha Jane Grant. She was the oldest of 11 children born to her parents. Her siblings were: Mary Jane "Mollie", John Seaf "Bud", Bertha Sivera, Edgar Lee, William Cornelius "Will",Josie, Myrtle, Mattie, and Idella and infant male who died as infants.
Annie had one daughter by her first husband, Millard Edward Cleveland, Mildred Mae Cleveland.
Annie and Millard divorced very young and she married two more times. 2nd husband was William J. Redden on 5 May 1910 in Parker Co., Texas and after his death in 1933, she married Robert S. Ray and they lived in South Texas until their deaths.
Annie raised a granddaughter, Tommy Mae Condray as her own child after her daughter, Mildred Mae Cleveland Jolley died due to New Years auto accident in 1946.
