Jose Etier Osborne was the daughter of Amos Franklin Etier and Martha Jane Grant. Her parents had 11 children. They were: Annie Beththire Etier, Mary Jane "Mollie" Etier, John Seaf "Bud" Etier, Bertha Sivera "Sis" Etier, Dr. Edgar Lee Etier, William Cornelius "Will" Etier, Mattie Etier, Myrtle Etier, and two infants, Idella and unnamed infant.
Josie was born, raised and educated in the Brock Community in Southwest Parker County. She married Ellis Dockins Osborne November 15, 1914 in Weatherford, Parker Co., Texas. Four years after their marriage they moved to Yuma and they lived on the same ranch home since 1922 until thier deaths. Josie and Ellis had 4 children. They were: William Truman, Dorothy Gay, and twins, John Grant and Joe Grant Osborne.
