Mrs Robert Laroche Heriot of Pinewood, only sister of Ralph T. Green and Henry D. Green of Columbia, died at
Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, yesterday after a short illness. She had many friends in Columbia and over the state.
Mrs Heriot was outstanding in her Christian activities in her community, and was dearly loved by many people for
her constant efforts to help others.
Mrs Heriot, 60, was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late William McDonald and Hennie DesChamps
Green, she was the former Miss Caro Lee Green.
For the past 30 years she lived near Pinewood and was a faithful member of the Pinewood Methodist Church. Her
Christian character and fortitude will long be remembered by those who knew her.'
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock this morning from Remberts Church, near Woodrow, by the Rev.
W.P. Way, assisted by the Rev. Clemson Smith. Interment will be in the family square in the Churchyard.
The funeral party will leave Hurst Funeral Home at 10:15.
Pallbearers will be; Major Davidson Heriot, Joseph C. Heriot, Jr., William H. D. Green, J. McFarland Elliott,
David Leslie Tindal and Dargan P. Elliott, Jr.
One of Mrs. Heriot's last requests was that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to an orphanage or other
worthy charity.
