WAYNESBORO -- Elmer Cohron, 82, formerly of Stuarts Draft, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Schade, 826 Florence Avenue at 9:05 a.m. today (Nov. 29, 1963).
He was a member of the Finley Memorial Presbyterian Church and was born Dec. 11, 1880 in Augusta County, son of the late Cornelius and Cordelia Weller Cohron.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John M. Schade, Waynesboro; one son, Henry Leslie Cohron, Stuarts Draft; five sisters, Mrs. Leona Hable, Jetersville; Mrs. Ernest Gentry, Crozet; Mrs. Virginia Griener, Stuarts Draft; Mrs. Clara May Sandy, Staunton; also six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at two-thirty p.m. in the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Thomas H. Grafton, assisted by the Rev. Asby Lazenry, with burial in Calvary Methodist Church Cemetery at Stuarts Draft.
