Pilson Cohron, 76, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at his home in Stuarts Draft.
He had owned and operated the Stuarts Draft flour mill for a number of years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church.
Mr. Cohron was born Dec. 30, 1882, in Laurel Hill, a son of the late Cornelius Henry and Cordelia Weller Cohron.
He is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Virginia Hodge Cohron; three sons by his first wife, Mrs. Anna Wegner Cohron, who died in 1928, Nelson B. Cohron of Stuarts Draft, Leonard P. Cohron of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Joseph W. Cohron of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two brothers, Alvin Cohron of Roanoke and Elmer Cohron of Stuarts Draft; five sisters, Mrs. Virginia Greiner of Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Leona Habel of Burkeville, Mrs. Delia Gentry of Greenwood, and Mrs. Lottie Pace of Crimora; and three grandchildren.
There will be no public viewing. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Roland Powell, assisted by Dr. Herbert S. Turner, with interment in Calvary Methodist Church cemetery.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and that those desiring to do so contribute to the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church building fund in his memory.
