Mrs. Irwin, 86, of Blandburg, died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1982, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 22, 1896, in Roseland, Reade Township, the daughter of Thaddeus C. and Jane (Fleming) Eakins, and March 18, 1925, in Ebensburg, married George Firman Irwin, who died Feb. 23, 1969. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lilly Gallagher of Houtzdale, a brother Austin C. of Mountaindale, died Nov. 10, 1982. Mrs. Irwin attended Blandburg United Methodist Church. She was a member of Reade Township Firemen's Auxiliary and the Tyrone American Legion Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Plass Funeral Home, Glasgow.
