GRANITE AREA MAN, 94, DIES
GRANITE FALLS - Robert Leroy Lail, 94, of Route Three, Granite Falls, died Friday morning in an area hospital following a lingering illness.
He was born Nov. 12, 1875, in Alexander County, a son of the late Timothy and Caroline Lail. He was a farmer and a member of Dudley Shoals Baptist church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the High Funeral Home chapel here, with the Rev. Z.B. Duncan, pastor of the Advent Christian church of Whitnel, officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Hills cemetery here.
The body will remain at the funeral home, where the family will receive tonight from seven until nine o'clock.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Barbara) Price of Granite Falls, Mrs. James (Mary) Warsham of Charlotte; four sons, Willie Lail, Wayne Lail, Tom Lail, all of Granite Falls, Alise Lail of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Pinkney Lail and Julius Lail, both of Granite Falls, Daniel Lail of Hickory; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
