Clarence Alexander Bailey, 88, of Manchester Townhouse Apartments, 1700F, died Friday morning (Oct. 9, 1987) in Liberty House Nursing Home, Waynesboro.
He was born Aug. 26, 1899 in Fort Defiance, a son of William Henry and Sarah Catherine (Coiner) Bailey.
He was self employed and was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Stella (Carroll) Bailey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at Thornrose Cemetery.

Note: Clarence's 1st wife was Lucille Mart Miller they were married January 6, 1924 and divorced May 25, 1934. They had a daughter Margarette V. (Bailey) Snider born March 2, 1925 in Rockingham Co., VA.
Clarence's 2nd wife was Dorothy Leeana Mauck, daughter of William 'Bill' Walter Mauck and Corella Leeana 'Lee' Miller. Clarence and Dorothy were married December 28, 1934 in Washington D. C. and divorced October 02, 1947 at Staunton. No children from this union.
