Ben F. Cooksey, age 81 of Elkhart, Texas, died February 23, 2010. Burial in Garden of Memories is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Mr. Cooksey was born May 22, 1928 in Crockett, Texas, the son of the late Ben Frank and San Francisco Cooksey. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Cooksey was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and John Robert Cooksey; sister, Opal McMannus; and daughter, Grace Ann Cooksey. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosa L. Cooksey; daughters, Kathleen Cooksey Sebenoler, Sharon Sutton, Bendetta C. Howington and husband Rick; son, Richard Lynn Cooksey and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Allori Leone and husband Mike, David Ellis and wife Laurie, Cassandra Majauskas and husband Steve, Sally Howington, Stephanie Douglas and husband John, Richard Lynn Cooksey, and Alexandra Stites; great-grandchildren, Brianna Leone, Bayleigh Kasper, Jakob Ferris, Matthew Ellis, and Abigail Majauskas.
