Cisco Cooksey
Services for Cisco J. Cooksey, 92, of Elkhart, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Bailey & Foster chapel with the Rev. Woodrow W. Cooksey officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery n Elkhart.
Mrs. Cooksey died Saturday morning in Elkhart Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1899, in Houston County, a daughter of Jim and Mary Eldora Harrison Johnson. She was a member of the Elkhart Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Frank Cooksey, on Oct. 3, 1986.
She is survived by her daughters, Ivy Vernon of Crosby, opal McManus, Mable Chapman and Bessie Pierson, all of Elkhart; sons, Ben Cooksey of Elkhart, John R. Cooksey of Beeville and Charles Cooksey of Palestine; sisters, Margaret Rhone of Monroe, La., and Eva Sparkes of Houston; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Her children will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive condolence calls from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
