Canton – Nellie F. Branstetter, 93, died at 3:50 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the OSF St Francis Hospital in Peoria
She was born September 29, 1916 in Perry MO to Otis A. and Mary A. Murphy Myers.
She married Richard E. Branstetter on August 22, 1936 in Perry MO. He preceded her in death April 4, 2008 in Canton.
Surviving are four children, Richard (Rita) Branstetter of Perry MO, Ralph Branstetter of Canton, Ellen "Kay" (Donald) Vaughn of Canton, and Donna (Ronnie) Siltman of Topeka, IL.
Also surviving are two sisters Joyce Winfree, Rebecca McCollum, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grand children, and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children Elaine and Theresa Branstetter, four brothers and two sisters.
She worked as a LPN at the Pekin Hospital and was a member of the St Michael's Catholic Church in St David IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the St Michael's Catholic Church in St. David with visitation one hour prior at the church. The Rev. Robert O'Conner will officiate. Burial will be held at the Vandalia Cemetery, Vandalia, MO.
