GARLAND C. ROGERS CANTON - Garland C. Rogers. 87, of 3151 Ptegah Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 1995, in a Canton nursing home.
A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late John G. and Dolly Woody Rogers. He had retired from Champion International after 27 years of service. He attended Crest-view Baptist Church.
He Is survived by his wife, Lydia Shipman Rogers; daughters. Mesial Sharps of Canton, Qeraldene Beck of Ellden; stepdaughter, Emily Holder of Fairview; stepson. Earl Franklin of Canton; sisters, Mabel Rogers, Wanda Woody, Betty Green and Mary Rogers of Canton; brothers, Frank Rogers of vTda. Texas, Paul and Eugene Rogers of Canton; 12 grandchildren; seven-step grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; five step-great-great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home.
Canton, with the Revs. Carter Parham and Wayne Wlllett officiating. Burial will be in CrawfordRay Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
