Final rites for Adrian Phillip Abel, 54, of Temple, Texas were held from the Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington at 2:00 pm on Monday, Dec. 10 with Rev. Wayne Hudson officiating. Interment following in Harllands Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Abel died as a result of injuries in an automobile accident on Friday Dec. 7. He was a carpenter, a World War II veteran and a native of Holmes County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Betty Abel of Temple, TX; one son Roger Phillip Abel of San Antonio, TX; his father John Alvin Abel of Tchula; two brothers William Allen Abel of Kenston, NC; and Roy Abel of Jackson, MS; and five sisters; Johnnie Wigley and Earnestine Compton of Lexington, MS; Doylie Spencer of Yazoo City, MS; Jo Ann Chambers of Davenport, Iowa; and Linda Benson of Jackson, MS.
Pallbearers were: Duke Abel, Mac Wigley, Melvin Wigley, Aaron Hashaw, Tim Spencer, and Wayne Benson
