LEBANON ENTERPRISE OBITUARY - 10/13/1911:

Mrs. Florence Mattingly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Smith of near here, died Saturday at the home of her father at 9:30 o'clock of a complication of diseases. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church. She was always pleasant and to know her was to love her. Her sickness was of short duration and her suffering intense until at last her angel spirit took its flight to meet her loved ones in that home where sickness and sorrow shall never enter. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. N. Werner Sunday morning at 10 o'clock in the presence of a host of relatives and friends, after which the remains were laid to rest in St. Francis Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss a mother, father, four sisters and three brothers. The heart of the writer goes out in sympathy to the bereaved family. Mr. and Mrs. J. Arthur Smith and two sisters, Misses Anna Belle and Clara Smith, of Lebanon; Mr. and Mrs. Will Smith of Springfield; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, of Louisville, and Mr. Lud Smith and family of Gasburg, attended the funeral of Mrs. Florence Mattingly Sunday.
