Frank Nelson Bump was the nineth child born to Ida Maude and Fayette Durlin Bump. Shortly after his birth his parents seperated and he, his sisters, and their mother moved back to Elgin, Illinois. In 1920 his parents were divorced. In 1921 his mother married his step-father Lynn McLean Kelley. Ub 1938 he joined the US Navy and moved to San Diego, Calf. In 1939 he married Nancy Lucille Hickman and legally changed his name from Frank Nelson Bump to Frank Nelson Kelley. In 1940 his son James Frank Kelley was born in San Diego, Calf. In 1942-1945 he served in WWII. After returning he and Nancy divorced in 1947. Frank continued to lived in the San Diego area. In 1963 he married Ruby Lee Lewis. One daughter was born to this union, Nancy Lucille Kelley. In 1970 he returned to the Elgin, Illinois area to be near his sisters. Later he moved to Chicago and remained there until his death. He was proceeded in death by his parents Ida and Lynn Kelley and his father Fayette Durlin Bump, his brothers William Fayette and George Fayette; and his sisters Marie Attalie, Stella Endora, Dora Viola, Myrtle Alice, Mable Eloise, and Florence Omega. He is survived by his son James Frank, and daughter Nancy Lucille, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
