Ida Maude Alverson was the fourth of eight children born to Dr. George W. Alverson and Endora E. Teving. Ida and her siblings Erford, Horace, Orphia, Harry, Hateya, Harley, and Roy all grew up in Wisconsin. On December 17, 1900 she married Fayette Durlin Bump, eight children were born to this union. By 1910 the family moved to Wheeling, Illinois. Then in 1912 the family moved to Allegan, Michigan where the last two children were born. Fayette left in 1917. The family Bible says Fayette died in December 1953 in Detroit, Michigan of gunshot wound. The location of his grave is unknown at this time. His last son Frank Nelson was born in Feburary 1916. In 1918 Ida married Lynn McClean Kelley. Ida and her last three children moved to the Kelley farm in Rutland Township, Illinois. Her youngest child Frank Nelson Bump changed his name to Frank Nelson Kelley in 1940. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Dr. George W. Alverson and Endora Alverson, her brother Erford, her husband Lynn M Kelley in 1943, her sons George who died at age 4, William Fayette who died at 35; and her daughters Marie Attalie who died just after birth, Dora Viola who died at age 4, Stella Endora who died at age 21, and Myrtle Alice who died at age 32. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters Florence, Mabel, and her son Frank. She shares her tombstone with her second husband, Lynn Kelley. Two of her grandchildren, children of Myrtle Alice Bump Sherwood and Charles Henry Sherwood are buried here with her in Udina Cemetery. The infants are buried together; Marion Maude Sherwood in 1924 and Charles Henry Sherwood, Jr in 1926.
