OBITUARY
DEATH OF JOB HUGHES
Relatives of Job Hughes were notified the last of the week of the sudden death of Job Hughes at his home in Kansas City, Mo.
Job Hughes one of Lewistown's prominent and most highly respected citizens had been a lifetime resident of this city until his removal to Kansas City some nine years ago. He was a contractor by profession and erected many of the edifices of this city. He served in various official capacities while here, and was always one of the foremost of our citizens in promoting civic betterment. He was a very faithful member of the First Methodist church of this city.
Forty-two years ago he was united in marriage to Minnie Moul of Astoria, and to them were born eight children, of whom six together with the wife survive. They are Azor Hughes of Kansas City and five daughters, Zelma and Vivian at home, Kathleen Johnson, Lillian Wagner and Millie Lutz, all of Kansas City. Two brothers, William & Dave Hughes of Lewistown and one sister, Mrs. Drusilla Brockett of Canton, also survive.
The body was brought to this city Sunday morning and the funeral was held that afternoon, conducted by Rev. Paul R. Nestler, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

The Masonic lodge of this city, of which Mr. Hughes had been an honored member had charge of the services at the cemetery. Mr. Hughes was 62 years of age.
