DEATH OF MRS. BROCKETT
Mrs. Drusilla (Hughes) Brockett passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Butler, on Thursday afternoon, May 27, at two o'clock. She had been in ill health for the past three years, and was 74 years of age at the time of her death.
Mrs. Brockett was born in Lewistown on Nov. 4, 1862, and was a daughter of David and Mary Ann (Dennis) Hughes. She was the last of a family of ten children. She was twice married, the first marriage being with William Seiver, who passed away several years ago. The second marriage was with George Brockett.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. Mayme Hayden, Mrs. Pearl Butler and William Hughes of this city, and Mrs. Grace Bartholomew of Kansas City, Mo. There are also three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Methodist church of which she was a member, conducted by the Rev. W. H. Johnson.
Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
