He was a native of the Harmony Community,AR. son of the late Jesse and Tula Self McKnight, grew up in Hartman, Mountain Top, AR. and on the Mulberry River,AR. joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at Ozone in 1937 and the Navy in 1941 where he served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a former resident of Adna, Wash., former employee of Boeing, Geislers Sawmill, Palmer Lumber, Standard Dairy, Weyerhaeuser, off-road truck driver, and raised cattle and horses.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Verlin, Leonard, Robert (Bel), Talmadge, and Finas Lee; and one granddaughter, Ashley Nelson.
