Honors & Awards: The Bronze Star,The Purple Heart,Meritorious Service Medal,Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Ribbon, European Theater Ribbon, Combat Infantry Badge and Victory Medal/D-Day Events WWII.
He was a coal miner earlier in his life; After he moved to Idaho in 1953 he began working as a logger (timber-faller).
He was married to Lois Guinn on April 8,1951. He had one daughter, Mary Lou(McKnight)Reinhardt. He had two grandsons: Dennis and Michael Reinhardt and one great-grandson Dmitri Reinhardt.
He also had three step-sons: Max D.Guinn,Jerry L.Guinn,
Pat S."Steve" Guinn,and one step-daughter,Melba Husak.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
