MARGARET GILREATH WAS THE DAUGHTER OF LOYD AND VIRGIE CARTER GILREATH.

SHE MARRIED ERNEST WALLEN ON 21 JUL 1956 IN HAWKINS COUNTY, TENNESSEE. GOD BLESSED THIS MARRIED WITH THREE CHILDREN: DONNA, RHONDA AND KIMBERLY.

SURGOINSVILLE - Margaret L. Gilreath Wallen, 77, of 107 Looney's Gap Road, passed away Tuesday (July 19, 2005) at her residence following a brief illness.

Mrs. Wallen was a life long resident of Hawkins County and was a member of Oak Dale Central Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Virgie Carter Gilreath, four brothers, Everette Gilreath, Holly Gilreath, Paul Gilreath and Leonard Gilreath, three sisters, Buna Vesta Gilreath, Emily Blair and Margie Rutledge.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Wallen, Jr., Surgoinsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Smith, Key West, Florida; Rhonda and Curt Kendrick, Kimberly and Dwayne Neal, all of Surgoinsville; two grandchildren, Charlena Kendrick and Zion Neal; one brother, Bob Gilreath, Surgoinsville; two sisters, Ruth Armstrong and Martha Crawford, both of Surgoinsville; several neices and nephews.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.

Services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Anderson and Elder Fred Gilreath officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Dale Cemetery.
