Mrs. Matlick's husband preceded her in death. He was killed by a falling tree eighteen years ago. Their union was childless, but they adopted one child, Sallie Trent who married Mr. Bently Evans. Mrs. Matlick a cousin by marriage of Mr. J N. Matlick of our city. She was a good woman and well liked by all who knew her and she will be greaty missed by her relatives and friends.
