Robert Morris Cunningham was killed in the Civil War battle that took place at the Cunningham homestead when Confederate guerillas led by Bill Ewing swarmed into the front yard. Robert Morris, as a member of the Union forces, fought the attack against his father. Mortally wounded he was carried into the family home.

Gravesite Details

Top portion of broken stone bears emblem of American flag. In 2009 was able to balance the top portion of the stone and take a photo.
