Funeral services for Edmund Ray Ellsworth,30, of Clearfield, who met death Saturday at 5 p.m., in a traffic accident near Layton, were held at the Davis Ward Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Mr. Ellsworth was killed while riding his motorcycle, which collided with an
automobile on US Highway 91.
During Mr. Ellsworth's residence in Clearfield for the past year, he was employed at the Ogden Arsenal in Sunset leaving a few days before his death.
The family had planned to move to Salt Lake last Sunday where Mr. Ellsworth had taken employment with the Thorne Construction Company.
Before moving to Clearfield he had resided in Vernal 29 years.
He was a son of William Philo and Matilda Ann Goaslind Ellsworth. He was born in Ouray Valley. He married LaMar Burke on 25 September 1937 in Vernal, Utah.
Surviving are his widow and one daughter Rayma Ellsworth of Clearfield; his mother of Manti; four brothers: William Henry "Bill" Ellsworth of Manti; John Ellsworth and Lester Ellsworth of Vernal; Milton Dixie "Dick" Ellsworth, Lyman, Wyoming; and six sisters: Mrs. Alene Swett of Vernal; Mrs Edna Barney of Manti; Mrs Florine Barney of Leota; Mrs. Nancy Jackson of Payson; Mrs. Mary Chivers of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Frances Perry of Price.
Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park.
